The Stone Age did't end due to lack of stones, but because better tools emerged
From five-star ballrooms to design-led independents, Thorsten Moennich has lived the full spectrum of hospitality. With over three decades across Westin, Kempinski, and Sheraton, and boutique leaders such as Pillows Hotels, Plan Hotels, Grand Hotel Yerevan, and Elysium Paphos, he combines global expertise with a deeply operational mindset.
Thorsten’s career was forged in Food & Beverage — from managing high-volume banqueting and fine dining operations to creating signature concepts that defined guest experience and profitability. His foundation in Rooms Division complemented that skill, giving him a holistic command of service flow, guest journey, and revenue rhythm. Underlining all of it is a very deep understanding of revenue management and budgets, ensuring that every creative idea and operational improvement translates into measurable results.
Having led more than ten pre-openings and multiple brand repositionings across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, Thorsten blends meticulous structure with cultural fluency. His years in the Middle East redefined his leadership: less control, more connection; less process, more purpose.
Today, as founder of Attain2Gain, he consults for hotels, owners, and hospitality brands on brand positioning, operational excellence, leadership development, and AI-driven transformation. His focus: empowering teams to deliver experiences that feel human — and perform commercially.
“It’s not about where you sleep — it’s about how you’re made to feel, and how long that feeling stays after you leave.”
He still remembers how to send a fax. Just in case.
And how to write your AI prompts.
