Laisa Vakaloloma is a dynamic and multi-talented communications and marketing professional with over a decade of experience in graphic design, photography, social media management, and guest engagement within the hospitality industry. Originally from Fiji, Laisa brings her creative energy and Pacific Island warmth to her role at The Rarotongan Beach Resort Group, where she currently serves as the Resort Photographer, Videographer, and Social Media Manager. Her role spans across the group’s three stunning resorts – The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium, Sanctuary Rarotonga (Adults Only), and Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort. As part of her diverse responsibilities, Laisa oversees social media content creation, manages guest digital experiences via platforms like Useguest, and continuously updates resort websites with sales promotions, resort updates, and special campaigns. In addition to her media and marketing duties, Laisa also serves as Manager on Duty, a role in which she assists guests directly—resolving internet connectivity issues, coordinating AV setup for conferences, and supporting resort operations across departments. She is actively involved in Food & Beverage operations, where she contributes to guest service by preparing drinks, taking orders, clearing and resetting tables, and handling billing processes. Her passion for visual storytelling is evident in the stunning photography and video content she creates for the resorts’ social media, including wedding reels and promotional adverts. Laisa is also honing her technical skills in artificial intelligence and digital tools such as CapCut, Claude, and ChatGPT to elevate her creative work even further. Laisa’s hands-on approach, versatility, and commitment to delivering excellence make her an integral part of the guest experience and the creative vision of the Rarotongan brand. Her work ensures the resorts not only look exceptional online but also operate with a high level of guest care and professionalism onsite.
