I’ve called Rarotonga home since June 1984, immersing myself in the island’s business, community, and hospitality sectors for over four decades. For 36 years, I ran my own plumbing retail and contracting business, working hands-on and eventually leading a thriving enterprise that served the island’s residents and businesses. After selling the company, I shared my trade expertise as a tutor at CITTI, helping to train and inspire future generations of local professionals.
Expanding my horizons, I then worked as Project Manager at Totatou Vai, delivering critical infrastructure projects before stepping into my current role as Chief Engineer at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium. Over the past three years, I’ve focused on operational excellence and supplier management—primarily sourcing from New Zealand—and have continually sought new workflows and productivity tools to elevate resort performance.
Alongside my professional journey, I’m passionate about cooking, health, technology, and sharing knowledge. I value open, solution-focused dialogue, preferring to collaborate and problem-solve with a positive, forward-looking approach. My experience spans contractor management, teaching, project delivery, staff coordination, and ongoing operational improvement—always driven by a commitment to quality and community.
